Update 3/27: Surgery went well, and Sylvie's Grammy is at home recovering. It took longer than expected - apparently there was more to fix in there than they thought. But all is well and she'll be on the mend until the second surgery in 6 weeks or so. Thanks for the good thoughts.
Sylvie is sending good wishes and much love tonight to her Grammy Haley, who is scheduled for surgery tomorrow afternoon in Florida. While she's sure everything will be fine, Sylvie knows hospitals are no fun and it's always a little scary to have surgery.
You'll recall that a couple of weeks ago, Sylvie's Grammy had an accident on the golf course. She's since explained to Sylvie that she wasn't just meandering around when she took her fall, but rather charging into the rough to find an errant ball that, in retrospect, should probably have just been sacrificed to the golf gods.
Anyhow, it turns out the damage went beyond a broken nose. Tomorrow she has to have it re-broken and set properly, to allow for a future surgery, in a month or two, to repair her sinus. Quite a price to pay for one lousy golf ball!
Sylvie would appreciate it if her readers would send best wishes along to her Grammy for an easy surgery and a speedy recovery.
