First walk of many

Bruschi is not a big fan of his harness. But he is even less fond of a collar, so baby steps. 

Yesterday Syl and I took the two pups for the first of many together walks. After some initial tangles and resistance, the puppy got the hang of it. 

The aftermath was predictable. 

Today, though, they were both ready for more. 

This unseasonably warm weather is a godsend!!!

Back in the play date mode

With the holidays, the Girl Scouts dance, etc., we took a little break from our Friday night play dates. They're back on, and giant heart cookies were in order.

Bruschi has already added more than 20% of his body weight since joining us just a little more than a week ago!

He and his "sister" could not possibly be getting along better. When they are awake, they are playing--constantly! Sophie cannot walk by without being pounced upon. She doesn't seem to mind though.

Question: Does Bruschi like the snow?

Answer: yes.

Meant to post this yesterday

They are doing just fine. Sophie would probably be fine if Bruschi hit the road, but she is tolerating him just fine and even playing with him actively from time to time.

Bruschi for his part loves her and constantly searches for her when she is not around. Then there was this, which pretty much sums it up:

Still learning

This morning I learned that I should not get out of bed to greet Bruschi unless I'm prepared to take him outside IMMEDIATELY. I won't make that mistake again. 

I also learned that, given the chance, Sophie and Bruschi would prefer to swap beds.

The O'Learys came to meet Bruschi this evening. He may never wake up from the resulting nap! They brought gifts, including a much-needed uniform!
