A discerning observer will note that a lot of these involve her new buddy Collman. They sure do photograph nicely together!
Quite a few more in the March 2014 gallery! Thanks for a great time Grammy and Grampy!

Meet Collman
Sylvie is over the moon that one of Grammy's friends has her 5 year old granddaughter Collman in town. On an hour's acquaintance Thursday she was declared Syl's "Florida best friend."

Mind the gap!
The tooth fairy is going to have to bring some help to our house tonight to carry away all of Sylvie's teeth! Three planned extractions, four teeth on the table, and one big old gap in our little girl's lower row (soon to be partly-filled by those two teeth you can see cropping up).
Melissa said she handled it like a champ, even holding the dentist's hand at one point to "help" him pull one out!

Last photo of my little girl with her little girl choppers
I realize the gap-toothed reality of middle single digit childhood isn't actually an existentially important marker on the road to adulthood... but it kind of feels that way! I'm a sap. I admit it. It makes me sad to think that tomorrow Sylvie is going to the dentist to have three lower teeth "wiggled out," and after that she'll look just that much less like a little kid and that much more like a big kid!
She's pretty excited about it though--most likely for related reasons!

"Do You Want to Build A Snowman?"
Sylvie was giving a full-on Frozen performance in the bath the other night. Because she's too old for bath video I caught just the audio and put it to some recent photos. Her attention to detail--different voices, musical interludes--cracks me up.

Father/Daughter Shamrock Ball
A few weeks ago Trystan mentioned to me that Brendan was taking Madeline to the Father/Daughter "Shamrock Ball"--a fundraiser for Holliston Youth Soccer. Though Sylvie is not a soccer girl (yet), I thought "why not?" and signed us up. Good call, Daddy. Sylvie was over the moon.
She spent a ton of time with Melissa on the internet, picking out just the right dress. She has been talking about it for weeks. I was a little worried the reality would fall short of expectations... she was likely expecting princes, horse-drawn carriages, etc. But I should not have worried. She loved it.
Melissa took her this afternoon to get her nails and hair done. This 'do is called "the Flower Girl."
Sometimes I catch a photo of my little girl that takes my breath away a little bit. This is one of those...
Who had a prettier date than me? Nobody. That's who.
Plenty of Syl's cronies were there.
By an hour and a half in, Sylvie and the aforementioned cronies were bushed.
As I put her to bed, Sylvie gave me a hug and said, "Dad, that was a very special night." I agree,
