Sign of a good trip...

Unconscious pre-teen on the way to the airport...

Of course I took a lot more photos in Florida. Check them out in the December 2017 Gallery.

Do we have to go back?

The internets reliably report sub-zero temperatures in Massachusetts, both today and for the next WEEK!! What to do with our last day in Florida? Why, go to the beach, of course.

Syl could get used to this 'Daiquiri a day' thing.

...and Grampy could get used to couches on the beach!

After the beach, another fantastic dinner out was a good start to a nice "last night." Here's to Christmas!

The Naples Botanical Gardens are a real treat at this time of year.

Syl grabbed my phone and took some really interesting photos! The kid has an eye.

(this one is a reflection in water)

We really enjoyed this evening.

Ho-ho-holy moly is the beach crowded on Christmas!

Santa made it to Naples (someone must have tipped him to our whereabouts).

Nothing says Christmas like... faux fur?

Thanks for the fish eye lens, Willow!

This little doll has been in Grammy's collection since she was a child, perfectly preserved!

And then because we could, we went back to the beach... where we found we weren't exactly the only ones with that idea.

Christmas dinner at the Bay House was fantastic!

Christmas Eve in Naples

It certainly doesn't stink to be in Florida--especially with the freezing rain and looming sub-zero temperatures we left behind. It almost seems wrong to head to the  beach, but that's what we did after some pool time and a quick visit to a local tortoise sanctuary. White sand almost looks like snow...

Nothing says Christmas in Naples quite like a virgin strawberry daiquiri.

Grammy was feeling a little low, so we three Waylanders headed out for dinner and a little Christmas stroll, capped by ice cream.

Of course Santa is getting his usual offerings...
