Beautiful fall day

Fall is definitely here.

On a day like today, that feels like a really good thing.

Started it out with a great bike ride. Turns out, riding with busted up ribs is okay. Hurts some, but not a lot.

After Syl's play practice and lunch with Aunt Mary, we took the mutts to Mount Misery in Lincoln (neither a Mount, or miserable, so go figure).

Pure joy.

Though it is definitely fall, our summer flower garden still has a few gasps left in it.

We met up with Aunt Mary today at Syl’s favorite restaurant, the Noon Hill Grille. It was great to see her. Mary has figured out the puzzle: she doesn’t age! 

Back to School Cookout

We had perfect weather and a great turnout yesterday for one of our most fun parties yet.

I got a little carried away with the inflatables, but the kids seemed to like them!

This is Syl with Maggie O'Brien, with whom she had several adventures when they were both two. Neither of them remember.

athena's current executive chair came by with his wife, which was really nice of him given everything he has going on. He's the one in the middle, former GE CEO, Jeff  Immelt.

2 of my 3 sets of CT cousins made the trip. It was great to see Danny, Melissa, Rick, and Mel.

This is my assistant, Susan. She's awesome.

Most of this crew ended up sleeping over, "surprisingly."

This is right after I face planted in the driveway on my OneWheel. Lesson: no beer and OneWheel. I think I cracked a rib!

Pretty sure my cousins have found the fountain of youth.
