Happy Thanksgiving to family near and far. We had a great one, with an expertly grilled bird (expertly grilled because I conceded last year to Zach and Emily's far superior grill skillz) and tons of delicious sides and desserts. Even Alex got into the spirit of the day, pounding down no fewer than four servings of turkey!

Great win (but man was it cold!)

Gusts up to 50 MPH and wind chill below zero, but being there for the Pats OT win last night after trailing 24-0 in the first half was worth it. I'll thaw out eventually!

These beautiful autumn weekends just keep coming

Maybe it is just because Sylvie is old enough to enjoy the outdoors now, but I feel like we've had a remarkable string of good hiking weekend days.

Those were yesterday at Noon Hill. Of course luck being what it is, the coldest snap of the year made its way in over night, just in time for tonight's Patriots game. I am the beneficiary of Brendan's incredible generosity, exercised annually when he invites me and a couple of other guys to a game. Of course there is a cost to everything, and in this case it is Brendan's stubborn affinity for tailgating. Night time, single digit to below zero wind chill, 40 MPH gusts, and Brendan is adamant about spending at least a little time freezing our... um... behinds off in the parking lot. Will be worth it if they pull out the win though!
