Twas the Day AFTER Christmas

We LOVE Clam Pass Park. For the better part of two decades now, it has felt like our little secret. Sure it takes a bit of a hike, but the boardwalk is beautiful.

...and the destination is worth the effort for sure.

Sadly, it seems the masses have discovered our secret. Hoping this horde was just a function of our timing this year!

The water may have been a little chilly, but Syl and I got (part way) in.

(I wore my sweater)

Imp.

Birds and rainbows and gators.

Stop that truck! He's stealing the pot of gold, clearly.

Great time celebrating Christmas in Naples. Thanks, Grammy and Grampy! All the photos are here.

Christmas Day

In a departure from tradition, we went al fresco for family photos.

We were a little worried that the 'Death of Santa Claus' would detract from Syl's Christmas. To the contrary, she seemed bemused by the radically reduced Cringle Haul, and spent most of the gift exchange portion of the festivities reveling in the exchanges between others. As it should be.

A Christmas braid.

Another selfie masterpiece. My arms were clearly made for this.

Outta da way!

Melissa. She looks good in hats.

Syl's best gifts were of the artistic variety.

In the afternoon, visitors!...

...bearing gifts!...

...and a willingness to get wet!

Clearly Melissa is reacting to someone other than her husband in this photo.

By night, a visit to the Bay House, which is not to be confused with the Bayside or the Bayfront. Great meal, as always.

Christmas Eve

Naples, FL knows how to do public spaces, and the new Baker Park is no exception.

Twinning!

Got some good family selfies this trip.

Out to Christmas Eve dinner at 1500 South. Great place, except that the waiters are a little aggressive at the end of the meal.

Twas the Night Before Christmas, and all through the house, everyone was up listening to Sylvie... except Mommy, who had been asleep for at least an hour by the time we got to this point...
