As always, for some reason logistics (in this case Uber) conspired to make Melissa and Sylvia late for athenaween, but once they finally arrived we had our usual great time.

My team did a superhero theme. 

 

At this point Halloween almost seems beside the point!

Pumpkins with BITE!

Just under the Halloween wire, today Syl and I did the pumpkin thing.

It was kind of sad not to go to Out Post Farm for the first time in Syl's life, but Russell's Garden Center had a great selection!

Apparently if our family were pumpkins, we'd look like this.

Syl is sporting a new Autumn haircut.

So is Bruschi. It is the same as his every other season haircut.

If we had a dollar for every time Sylvie thanked us for this wonderful mini-vacation... we'd almost be able to pay for this wonderful mini-vacation. It really was a great getaway.

New friends

On our last day before departure, Sylvie met a pair of really sweet siblings, Holden, and Sophie, on the beach. She believes Sophie to be a friend for life.

Whether that turns out to be true or not, they were certainly a fun pair to spend some time with in the CRAZY waves!

Their parents were getting married the day after we left, on this very beach. Cool stuff.
