Until next year

We wrapped Holliston Carnival Season 2014 last night by returning for a few after-usual-bedtime rides and the fireworks show. We brought Syl's friend Maeve (though happily her parents showed up for the fireworks, because Maeve completely lost it when the booming started). 

Missing Pax

Something today put Sylvie in mind of Pax, who has been gone almost two years. Melissa has been encouraging her to "draw her feelings." This is what she just produced. Kills me. 

Carnival 2014

Couldn't have been a nicer night for the Holliston Carnival. Or I should say: Day 1 of the Holliston Carnival. We'll be back for sure.

Madeline O'Leary was Sylvie's first friend. It still amazes me how, even as a "big girl," she still goes out of her way to make Sylvie feel special.

Jake won this all on his own. He's a better shot than his dad. To be fair, Mister Magoo is a better shot than his dad. But still.

Strawberry picking!

Today, the first day of summer, was an absolute gem. We joined Pat, Kem, and Alex at Verrill Farm in Concord for the annual strawberry festival. What a zoo! But it was worth it, as the kids enjoyed the picking and the berries are delicious.

Last day of kindergarten!

Sylvie is crushed for school to be over. Just look at this sad dance!

Trek across Maine

A few shots from the Trek Across Maine, a 180 mile, three day bike ride I did with 255 of my colleagues from athenahealth over this past weekend. It rained a lot, I abandoned camping for a hotel after the first night, and the route from Sunday River to the coast is a long a hilly one, but it was an AWESOME time.
