March Art

Syl was prolific this month: digitally, with pen and ink, colored pencils, and even water colors.

I love the 'tude some of these capture.

Dog craziness

My friend Elizabeth and I took the dogs to Mt. Misery today—it was puppy Cody’s first trip! They’re all very happy that the ice has melted and swimming season has commenced.

Commissions!

Syl drew this pup. When I posted it on Facebook, I got multiple requests from friends, asking if she'd do a portrait of their dogs.

Here are her first two real commissions. She was paid $50 a pop for these!

Bella the lab from Atlanta is old and sickly. Her mom, Jessie, wanted a portrait to remember her by and sent the photo above.

Bitsy (also from Atlanta!) is still a puppy, but she's the apple of her mom, Emily's eye.

We think Syl might have a real gig here!

House Hunting

Selling a house is no fun! Buying on in this insane market? Even less fun. We're seeing some WEIRD places, including this "murder house" that had a line around the corner, but was so far from staged that they didn't even bother to remove the Halloween decals from the toilets! Talk about a seller's market.

Believe it or not, that was far from the strangest feature of this house. It had BOULDERS in the basement.

On the other end of the weird spectrum, this family in Lincoln commissioned an old-timey saloon themed mural of their entire family to decorate their basement rec room.

Meanwhile, it is bittersweet to have this sign in our front yard. Nice that one of the realtors, Kathleen, is a friend of ours though! Both she and her partner are going all-out for us...

...including with a live Facebook streaming show!
