Another masterpiece - worth the wait!

 Syl has been working for weeks on my belated father's day gift: a painting of a scene from our Spring trip to Savannah. I can see why it took so long! Acrylics on an 8x10 canvas.

Salem

 Last weekend Syl and I took an impulse drive to Salem. Just an hour away, but so different!

 Syl was pretty intimidated early in the program to learn she was expected to draw primarily with charcoals - a medium she had not had any prior experience with. I'd say she picked it up well! The first couple are digital, and the rest are large charcoals. 

good to have this kid home

 I missed my rain-or-shine dog hiking, bike riding, ramen-eating buddy. It is good to have her home. 

Loving the Art School Life

 Syl seems to be really enjoying RISD. The talent there is amazing, and she's been really challenged. It was fun to see all the student work at the end of session exhibition.
