There is some irony in the fact that I just happened to snap these photos last week of Melissa putting Sylvie's hair up in a pony tail. After years of the hair-twirling, the tangles, and the raggedy hair that caused, Syl had finally managed to grow her hair out long enough and uniformly enough to hold a pony tail. Then this morning she announced rather casually, "Dad, last night I had a tangle. But don't worry. I got the scissors and cut it out."
I looked a little more closely at the back of her head, and sure enough she took out a good chunk. So it looks like we're going back to the pixie cut for a few more months.
