SNOW DAY (and close call)

Another week another blizzard here in the Greater Boston Area.  Sylvie and Dad both have snow days today, so we headed out for an abbreviated bit of play in the deep, deep snow.  Abbreviated for reasons explained below...

Before the fall

Sharp eyes will catch the reason for our retreat to the indoors in these two photos.  Same snowbank, photos snapped about 10 second apart.  In the intervening seconds a big old hemlock came down not 20 feet behind Syl.  Not a huge tree, but big enough.  She thought it was pretty cool.  I thought it was a suggestion from above that maybe we should push up our hot chocolate appointment.
