A few weeks back I had to be in Portland, OR for work on a Friday and the next Monday, so I took advantage of the weekend and drove out to the coast for a couple of days. What a beautiful part of the country.
This is "Haystack Rock," just off the coast of my hotel in Pacific City, OR.
This guy had the right idea.
Another scale shot. Those ants down there are people. This is a PILE OF SAND. Everything is just bigger out west.
Stopped at a candy store in anticipation of Grampy's pending visit. Fresh taffy.
I am the target audience for this marketing.
I also hiked in a nearby rainforest. Again: BIGGER everything.
Fog and looming darkness... Luckily, I flipped a coin and picked the right path to get back to my car.
