On Saturday we ventured to Lacey, Washington to have lunch with Kem. We were all disappointed that Pat was away training, but unbeknownst to Lynne and Steve a big surprise was waiting for them. Emily and Zach traveled all the way across the country for an unexpected visit. Emily asked me to try and catch her mom's reaction. I did. You just can't fake this kind of surprise. Can't fake it, but can make an animated GIF out of it...
Steve's maintained his poker face, but he was surprised (and equally pleased) too.
As excited as Grandma Lynne was, nobody could match the energy of Pat and Kem's new puppy, who was thrilled thrilled THRILLED to meet everyone... and seemed to find Sylvie's cheeks particularly tasty.
