Celebrating Friends
M and I made a jaunt to Holliston last Saturday night to celebrate the 40th birthdays of one of our favorite old towne couples, the Lukises.
Good people. Glad we have kept in touch.

Enjoying autumn
I can't say we are all a fan of the dropping temperatures, but we are definitely enjoying the beginning of fall here in Wayland. It helps that we've had a succession of just glorious weekends.
Last weekend, Melissa and I attended an athena friend's wedding in Nahant, one of the truly unique communities in New England. The setting was glorious, and it was nice to see some friends I've been missing since making my move.
I am managing to get in some good training in New York City, but nothing beats a morning run on the Charles River in autumn.
After 14 miles of running this morning, we took the dogs to a nearby farm that Melissa found for 3.65 miles of hiking. Oy, my legs!
Daddy braid shot!
Syl is rocking her new Sprinklr hoodie...
The mutts love nothing more than off-leash hikes in the woods.

I think I found another fun place
I think everyone who knows me knows I loved athenahealth. It is probably too soon to say for sure, but in Sprinklr I think I found a similar vibe, with similarly fun, smart, dynamic people. This is Dianne, Grad, and Luca, three of my colleagues on the executive team who have really made me feel welcome. Last week we went out to dinner downtown, and grabbed a selfie in front of the Freedom Tower.
Also last week, the company celebrated its tenth birthday, with a party right out of the tech company playbook. They *may* have filled a conference room with balloons...
And this is Greg, Sprinklr's first lawyer, who built the legal team I am privileged to have inherited. Great guy, midwestern nice, from Indy. Greg is also the dad of an only-child daughter, so we have a lot in common.
There was also a conference room full of cake.
This is Carlos, who spent most of his career as a senior exec at Cisco and is now Sprinklr's president. Another great guy who has gone out of his way to help me learn the business.
Lots of smiles at Sprinklr.
Lots of hugs, too.
And what party would be complete without a New Orleans jazz ensemble?
Of course much of the workforce is half my age (literally!). But they are all fun to be around and seem disinclined to make this old guy feel old. This is Julie and Dasle, from the communications team, who put the whole party together.
Time will tell, but so far Sprinklr seems like a great 'what's next'.

This is our founder and CEO, Ragy Thomas, my boss. He is a great guy. Very genuine, passionate about what we are doing, and committed to making a great workplace for his employees.

Happy Eighth, Sophie!
Our little lamb of a labradoodle turned eight last weekend, so Syl and Melissa made her a personal pizza. Bru got one too, of course.
After the best dinner they have had in a while, they both were happy to snuggle up with their mom on the couch... but Soph got some extra attention.
