This was the first weekend since this whole thing started, pretty much, that we have not hosted anyone. Of course that doesn't mean we didn't cook. I think we finally have the Egg pizza down pat!
And of course we had to have Kaileigh over - just not on Saturday. Rose joined, fresh out of quarantine.
Syl decided to try one of her mom's online workout classes. Two peas in a pod, these two.
The pups played tug.
Melissa and Syl made 4th of July cookies.
And we headed OUT to the O'Learys' on the 4th to celebrate by the pool, low key.
On the 5th, the Duffys came home from NH to host their traditional 4th of July party, a day late and a little bit smaller than usual. It really felt normal, though. Which was nice.
This party and these people have a special place in our hearts, because the Duffys were the first people in Wayland to welcome us with an invite to this party when we first moved here, never having so much as met us. Good people.
Look who got in the pool!
Brad is a beast.
Patriots, these two.
It was good to catch up with friends and neighbors who we have not seen in months, including Amanda (who is still at athena).
The drone came along and got some fun shots.
There were even fireworks, until a massive thunderstorm brought things to an abrupt end.
I got a text from Melissa saying she and Syl (who had gone home in front of me) couldn't find Bruschi. "He's hold up somewhere in the house, I guarantee it," I said to Brad and Alyssa before heading home. Sure enough, we found him in an upstairs guest bathroom, trying to wedge himself behind another toilet. This guy does NOT like thunder storms.
Plenty more photos where these came from, in the July 2020 gallery.
