It turns out that the forecast "50% chance of rain" also means "50% chance of a ridiculously beautiful day."We are really glad that we didn't give in to forecast fear and cancel our once-annual-and-now-not-so-much "Saturday B4 the 4th" cookout. The day couldn't have been more perfect. Although a lot of our invitees were out of town, including a lot of Sylvie's school cronies, we got a good enough turnout to merit the investment (including of time!), and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun--especially Sylvie, who is still EXHAUSTED three days later!
