DC fun and...

We had a great time in DC yesterday.  After an effortless flight Dudley picked us up and kindly ferried us to our hotel. Syl got over her consternation over the fact that BRENDAN was with us, but Madeline and Jake weren't...

After check in we split off and went to see Lara and her husband Alex, and meet their cute-as-a-button daughter Francesca.  Then it was over to the Winthrops' house for snacks.  The adults left the kids with sitters and enjoyed a fantastic dinner.

Unfortunately, although when we left home yesterday morning Syl was hale and hearty, by the time we got back from dinner it was clear she has developed yet another cold. LONG night in the hotel with little sleep for anyone.

Today the girls are going to go have girl fun, and the guys are off to Fed-Ex Field to watch the Patriots beat up on the Redskins...
