Feels like it is really fall

The leaves have only barely started to turn, but all other indications point to Autumn...

Rock and Roll!

Mid-September was the time for concerts for Syl and me! One of the relatively few upsides that I see to Tik-Tok is that it exposes kids to music from all eras. As a result, Syl was the motivating force behind us going to see Weezer with Dinosaur Jr and the Flaming Lips - all from my college years!

Not even a week later we hit Fenway to see Pearl Jam - an absolutely fantastic show that was a tick off of my bucket list.

 

Licensed to Drive!!!

 In a perfect example of the while "if at first you don't succeed" thing, Syl nailed her second run at the driver's test and is now officially licensed!!!

Quick trip to FL

 The day after the party I made a quick trip to Florida to help out with some challenges Gram and Gramp are navigating. It was good to share a beer with my dad, and then a bourbon with him and his buddy, James.

 I was super excited (and proud!) when Syl told me she signed up to be a volunteer at a Pan Mass kids' ride in Sudbury. 

End of Summer Party

 Syl and I hosted another super-successful End of Summer Party. For the second year in a row, the forecast rain held off until the very end.

We missed Grammy and Grampy, who were unable to make the trip this year, but were happy with the turnout of friends and family from near and far. 

11th Grader!

 The end is getting too close for comfort!

We celebrated the end of summer with a night-before ice cream. And then Syl surprised me by getting up on the first day of 11th grade and going on a hike with the dogs and me!

Here's a change! While she does not (quite!) have her license, Syl drove to school - with me riding shotgun. A long way from the bus!
