Syl and her bud Kaileigh got started last weekend on the walls in her new studio. It will take a while, but I am looking forward to seeing how it all turns out!

Shiny!!!
Syl did a star turn this past weekend as Tomatoa the Crab in the Wayland Middle School production of Moana, Jr.
We were super proud of our evil little crab. Here's her performance, more or less in its glorious entirety!

March Art (heavily-influenced)
Syl and I have been watching South Park (something of a compromise between the constant Japanese anime she wants to watch, and any number of things she wants to watch). She appreciates the humor, but also seems really taken with the characters. Her March art was heavily-influenced.
These first two are "bird girl," and have nothing to do with South Park.

The journey home
Our flight home from CO was canceled due to an East Coast snow storm. Jetblue could not get us home until Monday morning, on a red eye Sunday night. Yuck. So after a lot of gymnastics, I got us on a red eye Saturday night into JFK in New York, Sunday morning, and we rented a car. Sounded good on paper. In reality, it was EXHAUSTING.
But, upsides to everything. Syl and I had a blast meandering from Snowmass to Denver on Saturday morning. We basically jumped from random place to random place, Googling "things to do near me" at each stop, burning up the day before our late night flight.
We both enjoy finding a good out of the way diner. This one, "Dan's Carnation" in a little town between Snowmass and Denver, was a great find!
