Now she's into dragons

She copied these from the Internet. Free-hand. She added the knight.

and more!

It just isn't ending. We are more than ready for our flight to Florida Wednesday. Though Syl and I at least do see no small degree of fun in this extraordinary snow accumulation.

We got another foot-plus overnight, on top of the rest of it--not a flake of which has melted since the first blizzard three weeks ago!

The entire region is suffering a serious bout of acute 'Nowheretoputititis'.

Lounging around

...in her comfy new robe.

And REALLY getting into this reading thing.

Picking up new skills

Sylvie had her first real piano lessons last week and this, and so far she LOVES it. She has the basics of reading music down already. She cannot quite do much with her keyboard yet, but that hasn't stopped her from "practicing" non-stop.

Cousins on a snowy day

Kem and Alex came over for a while today before the snow started coming down. Sylvie and Alex had a great time--and humored me for a few photos.

Stinky feet!

Fake smiles!

It just keeps coming!

For whatever reason, these felt like black and white photos. Maybe because most everything is SO white!

With no melting warmth and at least one more snowfall in the 10 day forecast, we might have to rely on Sylvie the seasonal warrior princess to beat back winter for us.

Boy are we looking forward to our long weekend in Florida in a couple of weeks!

Another week, another snow storm

Apparently we just aren't doing Monday's at school this February. Even Sylvie is sick of it. For example:

"More SNOW??!!  For crying out loud!"
And
"I hope we have school tomorrow..."

Of course we made the most of it again this weekend. Sledding!

Pats!!!

Their cheering section made all the difference.

Sledding is better with friends

Especially when they do all the work!
