Especially at the Fatima Shrine, which we visited last night with a bunch of Sylvie's pals.

This outing certainly got us in the Christmas spirit! Now we are excited for Grammy and Grampy to arrive tomorrow so we can start the celebration!

Gingerbread houses
Yesterday Sylvie and I joined Trystan, Madeline and Jake for Gingerbread house decorating. They had a blast, mostly because way more candy was eaten than attached to houses.

Suddenly she is into pencil sketching. I am not sure where she gets an idea like this one.

Sylvie's Grampy Haley has been under the weather this week. Seems like he's on the upswing.

Trimming the Tree
It's beginning to feel a lot like... Christmas is SNEAKING UP!!!
Sylvie is giving us a little bit of pause about the whole Santa thing all of a sudden. She came home from school the other day and said, "did you know some people don't thing Santa IS REAL???"
We trimmed the tree tonight when I got home from work, primarily because we knew we wouldn't have time this weekend what with all of the other pre-Christmas prep we have on the docket! How did December get here so quick!??
Sylvie is giving us a little bit of pause about the whole Santa thing all of a sudden. She came home from school the other day and said, "did you know some people don't thing Santa IS REAL???"
But she's also pulling things that make us wonder if she might be testing the proposition. For example, when we ask what she wants for Christmas she says she doesn't have to tell us. She can just tell Santa. And there is that little mischievous glint in her eye.
I think we'll get one more Christmas of innocent wonder out of her, but probably just one. Better treasure it!
