Memory Project

Syl spent the last three weeks working her butt off on this portrait for The Memory Project. The kids in her art group get photos of little kids from poverty-stricken areas in the world. This little fella lives in India. Syl's portrait - acrylics on paper - will be sent to his family.

I'm proud and amazed at how her skills are coming along. Still self-taught!

Christmas at home

Syl and I had a mini-Christmas at home to save the schlepping of presents.

Santa brought Syl a bunch of stuff, including a very pretty new acoustic guitar.

When it comes to playing "sit on a stool and read next to a potted plant," this little figurine really cannot be beat.

Annual photo with Frosty.

Christmas in Florida

Syl and I had a lovely trip to Florida to see Gram and Gramp for Christmas.

That's no golf cart!

We did our annual Christmas Eve dinner at the Bay House. As always, it was excellent!

A rousing reading of Twas the Night Before...

We capped the trip with a return to the Ramen place we went to last year, at Syl's request. A new tradition is born!

Somebody was whipped in the Uber on the way home...

Trimming the Tree

We're getting in under the wire on the tree this year, but we're happy with how it turned out!

This lasted all of ten seconds...

Holiday Dreams 2024

Syl and I spent 11 hours and 45 minutes in Santa's UHaul this year, covering nearly 300 miles and in the process filling a 15 footer with donated gifts for several hundred kids! We say it every year and every year it is true: BEST DAY OF THE YEAR!
