Happy 80th Grammy

 Syl and I headed south to surprise Grammy for her big milestone birthday.

We caught her on the way home from the driving range. Surprise success!

Grammy was not thrilled with her first gift.

An afternoon at the beach is a good way to celebrate when one lives in Naples.

Syl painted this beautiful scene as her gift.

It's gotta be a big occasion to get Syl in a dress!

We headed to the Bay House, where another surprise was waiting!

New Life 5K

 After a couple of years off due to Covid and conflict, Syl and I again did the New Life Furniture Bank 5K in Medfield, which is a charity near and dear to our friend, Trystan. It was a gorgeous (though hot!) day for a run. 

Bonus, our friends Derek and Maeve from Holliston ran with us! Maeve was one of Syl's buddies dating from daycare at the Holliston Community Children's Center, before either of them could really talk. So it was a little jarring for both of them to realize it had been so long that they barely recognized each other!

Syl caught sight of this banner and said, "the dogs have MONEY???"

Rainbows!

 Catching up now that the trip photos are behind me, and I am excited to post these shots from early May in particular...  Syl and I were working with our faces in our respective machines when, luckily, Syl looked out the window and saw the most spectacular rainbow. She hollered loudly enough to frighten me, and we scrambled outside. 

Moments later, Syl yelped again - a DOUBLE rainbow was appearing!

This one worked out well.

I don't know that I've ever seen the actual END of the rainbow so clearly. Sadly, if there was a pot of gold, someone else got to it first.
