Move in day... sorta

Well, as expected the  house isn't quite ready yet. But we were unable to postpone the movers without adding TWO WEEKS to the proposition, so we moved what we could into the house and had them put the rest of it in the barn and the carriage house. They'll come back Sunday and finish the job. Annoying, but on the spectrum a small bump in the road.

Boy do these guys know how to pack a truck!

Welcome home, demonic clown!

The yard is still looking great though!

We are going to have a lot of fun back here.

And I have big plans for the barn (Barn Bar!!)

Syl remains pumped about her studio. She will do cool things in here!

Not QUITE ready in Sudbury

It's too bad we cannot "move in" to the YARD at Dakin Road. That is certainly ready for us!

Bruschi is over his moving jitters - and excited about having a POND!

Syl definitely sees the potential of the Carriage House loft space - which will house her future art studio, once we make some minor upgrades. She worked hard to clean it up!

The inside is, um... NOT READY, to say the least. Moving in in under a week seems like a stretch at this point.

The back yard, though, is already capable of hosting our first on-site lunch.

The woman in the foyer is Mimi, our sellers' realtor. She has been incredibly kind and helpful. The woman on the stairs is Kat, one half of our realty dynamic duo. She found us this house before it hit the market.

Fingers crossed...!

Packing up and moving on

Fun fact: our movers were initially confused by our move dates, because it turns out they moves us in to 101 Plain Road 5 years to the DAY before the planned move in to 150 Dakin in Sudbury! So we lived in this beautiful place for precisely half a decade. Isn't life interesting sometimes?

We are moving for very good, rational reasons, but it was still bitter sweet to see the guys from Gentle Giant (who are AWESOME and worth every penny) swoop in and dismantle the place in a matter of hours. Those guys are machines.

A last meal on the porch... we barely knew anything was going on inside.

There goes the Halloween crew!

Sophie was unimpressed by the very impressive piano movers.

We're all going to miss the porch for sure.

Bruchi was freaked out by the whole process. He showed his displeasure in a very emphatic way.

Because we are having some aesthetic work done at Dakin Road (primarily painting the interior - which REALLY needs it), our move in got bumped back a week. So we're shacking up at the Residence Inn, Natick -- basically living at the Mall.

Syl kind of likes having her own room.

Melissa wasn't there for our last selfie at Plain Road. This house has been good to us. We wish its new owners well. On to the next things!
