Happy Birthday to Mommy!

41 wasn't so monumental as 40 for Melissa... we celebrated Sunday night with dinner at her new favorite Sushi place, where Sylvie downed enough tofu to feed a village.

Back at home, she cracked into her pile of presents, including a beautiful necklace and earring set that Syl legitimately picked out for her.

Sylvie tapped the zeitgeist for Melissa's birthday card, playing off of President-elect Trump's feelings about strong women...

Drawing class

Tonight's subject was a raccoon. 

 

Sylvie says that she prefers the back of the drawing. 

 

I'm just glad that no one expects me to draw a raccoon!

2nd 5K with Team Pancakes!!!

For the second year in a row, on a carbon-copy cold and wet day, we ran a 5K with Team Pancakes in support of my colleague's little girl, who suffers from juvenile Diabetes. Sylvie did great!

Once again her pals Sammie and Maeve and their families came from Holliston.

Sylvie claims she never rolls her eyes. BUSTED!

We lost power last night -- so naturally Syl and I went out to dinner (Dan was in DC).

Making good on a birthday promise, today I took Syl and Avery Green to Roller Kingdom (aka, hell on earth).  They loved it.
