Florida Photos!

Sylvie keeps talking wistfully about "Grampy and Grammy's World" - a place where it is sunny and warm and all there is to do all day long is frolic in the water and the sand. She also pointed out that there "I don't have to go to school, and you don't have to go to work..."

I got a lot of good photos - many of them on the iPhone! Took the camera along to Keewaydin on Uncle Jeff's boat (Sylvie refers to him as "Pirate Jeff" for reasons that will be apparent in the photos) and got some great ones there.  Of course I got a lot of good ones of Syl with Aunt Willow, her most dedicated and faithful playmate.

Link to all of them at the bottom...

All go the many Florida photos by clicking here. Thank you again Grammy and Grampy!

Happy Easter!

Sylvie's drawings are getting more and more detailed. This is her rendering of an Easter Bunny visit to "a big family". Note that every sleeper has his/her own glass of water standing by.

We colored some eggs today in preparation for tomorrow - though the notion of cracking and eating them horrifies Sylvie beyond all rational discussion...

Final dip, then off to the airport

Heading home... But of course Syl needed to get wet one more time.

Thanks for a great time Gram and Gramp!

Happy Birthday Great Grandpa Steve!

Sending out some not-quite-belated but nonetheless heartfelt birthday wishes to Sylvie's great grandpa Steve, who is celebrating his 85th today. Here's to many more!

Dinner out

Had a calm day to relax and get some rest after so much activity, capped off by an excellent and fun dinner at Bonefish Grill. Sylvie is having a wonderful time, particularly with her constant companion Aunt Willow who never tires of... Obeying her orders.

After dinner Melissa and I found this crew in the driveway doing some stargazing... One of them looks pretty tired.

Keewaydin Island

Unbelievably fun day. My Uncle Jeff picked us up at a nearby marina and took us to Keewaydin, a barrier island between Naples and Marco. Only accessible by boat, it is a very popular destination for folks who can get there. A few miles long and just a few hundred yards wide - featuring a stunningly beautiful and almost deserted beach. Such a great time. Syl enjoyed the boat ride (wooo! Wooooo! This is SO COOL!) as much as the beach and the waves. Many more camera photos to come. Here are a few from the iPhone.

The life

On Uncle Jeff's boat, heading to the island...
