First trip to the dentist

Sylvie had her first trip to the dentist this morning, and her mom reports her behavior was exemplary.  She has a molar that they have to keep an eye on - it's a little misshapen and as a result is a little bit iffy looking.  But otherwise a clean mouth bill of health.  And what better way to celebrate a successful trip to the dentist than...

A couple of quickies

My girls on Mother's Day

I got some awesome shots of the girls before a REALLY messy lunch at Oga.  Syl gave the chopsticks a good try... and got some funny mom help with the udon...

Long noodle

End of the day

Misc scenes from the weekend

Yesterday Sylvie and I joined Brendan, Jake and Madeline for Sylvie's first full-length feature in a movie theater - Rio.  It was a hit; she's been talking about it - and her big bag of popcorn - non-stop ever since.

This morning Sylvie and I played outside while Melissa enjoyed a prolonged Mother's Day workout.  A bad forecast yielded a pretty beautiful day, so we took full advantage.  Bubble blowing, wagon-riding, plant-watering... even a quick (illegal/unrestrained) ride around the block in the front seat of Daddy's new "race car"!

Happy Mother's Day!

Sylvie hopes all the moms in her life have a nice, relaxing day today.  She's taking her Mom to lunch at Oga's to celebrate.

What a nice good morning

Daddy is on the road today. This photo from Melissa, who is with Syl at Coffee Haven, is a great good morning.

Caught Napping

After all the excitement this weekend, Syl was WIPED.  She enjoyed a long Sunday afternoon nap.   When it came time to wake her up, I opened all her shades to let the sun shine in.  I talked to her.  I nudged her.  Nothing - not even a grunt.  So I got the camera...

Got a May 2011 Gallery going too...

Annual Rite of Spring

Our first visit to Oak Grove.  Differences this year: Syl is on the "big girl swings," pumping for herself; and the big kid jungle gym finally seems appropriate (meaning I'm not worried the whole time she's going to be trampled by a horde of boys).  Fun stuff on a beautiful day.

Mooo! Baaa! Oink! (That means "Happy Birthday, Aya!")

GREAT time yesterday, celebrating Aya's 2nd birthday at Drumlin Farm!

A lot more photos are in the April 2011 Gallery, and I made a separate gallery that you can feel free to send to your friends, Aya.  I got some good photos of them too...  Here it is.

Quick, fun visit

Grandma Lynne and Grandpa Steve drove all the way to Massachusetts for a quick weekend visit, so they could attend Cousin Aya's second birthday party.  Sylvie hasn't seen them - except on the computer - since November!!  So she was really excited to spend some quality time.  They packed a lot into two days!

Six pancakes, 2 slices of bacon and fruit - biggest meal Syl ever ate!

Wiped out duo (lot of playing)
